Back in 1989/90 Cbeebies did a kids show called happy families based on the books by Allan Ahlberg. All about people you found on the card game happy families. Master bun the baker, Mrs wobble the waitress etc. These books are still in print @ Puffin books.The series is not to be confused with the French & Saunders show of the same name.ThanksDPD

Parents Evening (watching from the window) i sit by my window,
watching in apprehension,
fingers clenched tight,
feeling sick from the tension.
tonight is the night
when the teachers
get there revenge,
smugly stating
'well where do i start,
he never listens,
he talks to much,
he drives me round the bend'
'his homework is always late,
his folders a state,
he disrupts the class,
and he talks to fast'

if mum and dad,
get out of the car, looking glum,
i'll know whats to come,
lecture after lecture,
sigh after sigh,
then those dreaded words,
'you can kiss your holiday goodbye'
but if i see a smile,
then all is ok,
lashing of praise,
and of how i've made there day.
Eventually the waiting is complete,
im straining to see the smile,
i so desperatly seek.,
but to my dismay its a frown i see,
oh how i wish i wasn't me.
think of an excuse before it's to late,
blame it on God,

i bet all those teachers are smiling tonight,
whilst i here in here in expectant fright
up the stairs come mum and dad,

Interaction Point Games, located in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, is a new publisher started by designer Brent Evanger to bring a few of his creations to print. As of July 2010, he’s released two card games: Third and Long and Knock Down, Drag Out. Third and Long is both the name of this card game – the first from publisher Interaction Point Games – and a clue as to how it simulates an American football game. Instead of tracking downs and distance covered by each play, the game instead focuses on only the key plays of a scoring drive; if the offense can win those key plays, the player will score. Along the same lines, a player’s team is represented by only a few individuals – the key players, as it were. The basics of game play are similar to other sports games, with the offense and defense each simultaneously revealing a “play call” card to see what each side is doing.
